Making Fire

Fire is one of the absolute necessities of living. Fire cooks food, purifies water, warms us and lifts our spirits. In this one day introduction class, participants will learn the basic rules of fire-making as well as learn the technique to make fire by friction. Everyone will be given the necessary tools to make their first primitive fire kit.

Have you ever walked through the bush and felt as thought there is a deeper connection to nature, but you’re not quite sure what it is or how you can act upon it? Nicole AKA MoonPony brings forth that missing link. Filling that space changes things -mentally, physically, spiritually.

Living harmoniously with the Earth requires a multitude of skills. While we may grasp the more apparent aspects, it's often the subtle essentials that elude our attention—bowls, containers, utensils/cutlery, storage, hygiene, knots, and repairs. This class delves into the often-overlooked techniques, unveiling the artistry hidden within these small but crucial elements of sustainable living.

Learn to make fire from scratch and create tools from the land. Get a taste of how it can be just you and the earth, and with every skill mastered, the wilderness becomes more of a place to call home.

Price: $60 per person
